Labtec
The Project: Logitech, Inc. (http://www.logitech.com), a company renowned for their innovative human interface devices, acquired Labtec in 2001. As part of the acquisition transition, Logitech determined an update of Labtec’s web content management system was in order. The immediate issue at hand was to provide Labtec with the same comprehensive content management system that ecom enterprises had built for Logitech.com. The goal was to leverage Logitech's knowledge base and investments by standardizing their e-business practices across both companies.
The Solution: The changes to Labtec.com came quickly; within 6 weeks ecom enterprises completed the comprehensive project. The similarities between the two companies' content management systems are now part of a cohesive e-business strategy deployed by Logitech.
The content management system completed for Labtec is feature-rich. User-friendly icons are displayed within the WYSIWYG content editor, allowing for professional-looking content to be generated without the need for coding. The WYSIWYG editor also identifies and saves most Microsoft formatted documents providing true cut and paste content generation. Other features include an image module to manage localized image content, scheduled content deployment, content rollback & versioning and browser-based administration tools.
